Default How do I change a long columns list to short ones in 2007 Excel?

I have 5 columns, 609 rows long. I need to be able to print it out and was
wondering if there is a way to make short columns and still be able to have
the sort option. If this was MS Word it would be similar to just clicking the
columns button.

Thanks for you help. I have to have this report ready for a meeting in just
a few hours.
