How can I display actual "alpha" data in the values section of a pivot table.

Default Pivot tables

The short answer is you can't. Pivot tables are designed to aggreaget data in
a hierarchy. Text does not aggregate. You can place the text in the row or
column headers and get counts so of those text values in the data area.

Thank you so much for your quick response! I had searched the help and web
and this was my final attempt to find the answer that I was looking for - but
alas.....apparently no can do!
