I need a drop down that will shade the cell either Red or Green. The drop
down list only needs to show R or G. When you click R, it will make that cell RED. I know a bit about data validation and lists. I don't know anything about VLookups. If you have the answer, please make it VERY user friendly. |

Apply conditional formatting to the cells. Have the drop down as r or g and
then set c/f to color fill and make text red or green when it sees r or g. -- Russell Dawson Excel Student "Cindy" wrote: I need a drop down that will shade the cell either Red or Green. Anyway. Why cant you have the cell changing color based on an event in your
w/s. You appear to be deciding yourself when to turn it r or g and presumably something has happened to make that decision. If you can explain a little further then perhaps your w/s can be improved. -- Russell Dawson Excel Student "Cindy" wrote: I need a drop down that will shade the cell either Red or Green. It is somewhat of a survey. The team reads the questions and then they must decide on either Red or Green. I got the boxes working fine, just from text and conditional formatting. I thought there was something more to it. Thanks for your response.
