Filtering within Pivot Table
I am filtering in a pivot table. I would like the subtotals to update for
the data I am showing after I have filtered, instead of still counting the hidden data. Is this possible? Thanks, Heather |

Filtering within Pivot Table
The pivot table's totals should automatically update correctly if you're
using the pivot table's filtering. If you're doing your own formula (maybe above the pivot table), then use =SUBTOTAL(109,B5:B1000) as your formula to sum the range ("9" is to sum) while ignoring hidden data ("10" in front of the "9" means "ignore hidden rows"). This is rather redundant, however, because pivot table filters don't "hide" filtered out data rows...they disappear altogether. -- Please remember to indicate when the post is answered so others can benefit from it later.
