Default cell data management

is it possible to take a cell with a full name, john bob jones for example
and split into 3 cells easily without having to retype the information
manually?

Data - Text to columns, delimited, use space as a delimiter.

Default cell data management

Stumped -

Check out the Text to Column (under the Data menu). If you choose
Delimited, and Space, then that will split the once cell into three for you.
