Thumbs up Answer: Making the text in a cell with a money format centered

Yes, it is possible to center the text in a cell with a money format. Here's how you can do it:
  1. Select the cell or range of cells that you want to format.
  2. Right-click on the selected cells and choose "Format Cells" from the context menu.
  3. In the Format Cells dialog box, select the "Number" tab.
  4. Choose "Currency" from the Category list.
  5. Select the desired currency symbol and decimal places.
  6. Click on the "Alignment" tab.
  7. Under the "Horizontal" section, select "Center" from the drop-down menu.
  8. Click "OK" to apply the changes.

Now the text in the cell with a money format should be centered. If you still have trouble, make sure that the cell is wide enough to accommodate the currency symbol and the value. You can adjust the column width by dragging the column boundary to the left or right.

Yes.

In EXCEL 2007 for cell D4:-

1. Right hand click in cell and select Format Cells.

2. Format Cells should launch.

3. Number tab / Currency setting on left hand side / set Symbol: to $
English (United States) / OK

4. Enter 100 into the cell so that it appears as follows:-

$100.00

5. Home / Alignment group / Center

Cell D 4 is correctly centred.

Please hit Yes if my comments have helped.

Thanks.

It's on the Alignment tab of the Format Cells dialogue box.

In the future, tell us what you tried, and your version of Excel.

Regards,
Fred

If it is Accounting Format you cannot center it.

If Currency Format go ahead and center it via
FormatCellsAignmentHozizontalCenter.
