Default Excel Password

Okay, copy this code and right click the sheet tab and select View Code and
paste this in the white space.

Now run the code by clicking on the tiny little right facing arrow in the
menu bar, it is solid blue and small and looks something like this .

You should get a message box saying something like "This might be a
solution...etc"... showing a string of AAABBBABB or such, then click on OK.

You should understand that password protection in Excel is very weak and now
you can see why. Use it to keep a casual user from screwing up stuff but do
not depend on it to protect your sheet or workbook.

'Option Explicit

Sub PasswordBreaker_Sheet()
'Author unknown

Chr(k) & Chr(l) & Chr(m) & Chr(i1) & Chr(i2) & _

Exit Sub
End If
Next: Next: Next: Next: Next: Next

End Sub

A password for a protected sheet has been lost, is there anyway to retrieve
the password or reset it?
