cell protection in Excel
I have avoided Excel for e-forms for years. Currently allmost all my forms
developement has revolved around Word and Word Tables so am very familiar with what does and does not work regardiing 'protection'. Recently I took another look at Excel for some exceptions. I am discovering some possible deal killers when it comes to 'protection'. Is there an MVP out there that has some devining experience with Excel forms that can answer some puzzeling questions? 1. in 'unprotected' sections... text sometimes carries over into the cell to the right (when nothing impedes its progress) and sometimes it disappears into the blue (when nothing impedes its progress). It seems to be affected if there is a row above that has been merged. Can this be overcome? 2. in 'unprotected' sections... with the worksheet protected, I can't copy and paste in any kind of graphic. 3. in 'unprotected' sections, is there a way to keep rows from 'growing' when text or objects are copied in? Assistance is always appreciated... Lenny |
