Why does "@" appear when I write (C)?
It's not an @ sign, it's the copyright symbol. Excel (like all Office
programs) is trying to be helpful. To stop it, delete the entry in Autocorrect. Regards, Fred "JeffC" wrote in message ... Whenever I write (c) (after (a) (b) it coverts to @ How can I stop this please! |

Why does "@" appear when I write (C)?
In EXCEL 2007:-
Office Button (top left hand corner) Excel Options (lower right hand corner) Proofing AutoCorrect Options . . . In here there will be an entry for (c) telling EXCEL to replace that with @. Highlight that entry and delete it. If my comments have helped please hit Yes. Thanks. "JeffC" wrote: Whenever I write (c) (after (a) (b) it coverts to @ How can I stop this please! |

Excel (like all Office programs) is trying to be helpful. To stop it, delete the entry in Autocorrect. Can I emphasize that you might want the autocorrect to continue since the list is the same for Word. If there are only a few "(c)"s needed, you can cancel the "helpful" change with a space then CTRL-z. -- James Silverton Potomac, Maryland Email, with obvious alterations: not.jim.silverton.at.verizon.not |
