Cells are changing format from numeric to date automatically
has anyone else had this problem?

Cells are changing format from numeric to date automatically
Amy,
If a formula in a cell is referencing a date then excel will try and be helpful and format the answer as a date or if the cell is simply a number and the cell has previously held a date then once again Excel will try and be helpful. In either case format as GENERAL or whatever format you want. -- Mike When competing hypotheses are equal, adopt the hypothesis that introduces the fewest assumptions while still sufficiently answering the question.
