Hi all,
I very much appreciate your help. I am trying to create a chart such as the one in the following link: http://earthtrends.wri.org/images/et...cost_small.jpg It shows on the Y-axis different items. On the X-axis, the price in USD 0..1...2...3...4...5...6...7...and so on. Than, for each product I need to plot its range of prices. For example, for item 1, its price ranges from 3 to 5 dollar. so it should be a horizontal line or bar extending from 3 to 5. Could you please explain to me how to do it? By the way, Any idea what these types of charts are called? Thanks in advance, |

I believe this would be a floating bar chart. You can create it by having a
stacked bar chart, with a dummy series that is formatted to have no fill/no line. Check out Jon's article for a quick example of how-to: http://peltiertech.com/Excel/Charts/...ngColumns.html -- Best Regards, Luke M *Remember to click "yes" if this post helped you!* "Dream" wrote: Hi all, I very much appreciate your help. What you are looking for is called a floating bar/column chart. Check out

It's called a Hi-Low Chart. Look under the stocks types of charts, you can
take out the close series to just have the high and low. Also there is a Floating Bar type chart under Custom Types, this is probably what you are looking for. The orientation is more suited to your example. Looks pretty self explanatory there. "Dream" wrote: Hi all, I very much appreciate your help.
