Default IF

Column CZ in my spreadsheet calculates the difference between two dates in
months. I would like to put a formula at the bottom of this column that tells
it to total all of the cells from CZ5 to CZ999 that show a value lesser than
or equal to 3. What kind of formula can i use?

Try SUMIF (or COUNTIF if I misunderstood you)
*** you will find explanations in Excels Help ***
