how can i convert all text in excel spreadsheet to upper case?

With a macro, to convert TEXT not formulas, first use Ctrl+A to
select all cells then run the macro at
http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/proper.htm#upper

If you really must change ALL cells you can give the macro a different name
and use "cells." instead of "selection."
