Excel 2007 (file converted from previous version of Excel through Save As and
also incorporates data from another spreadsheet in a previous version of Excel) I have been working with a spreadsheet that has developed a major error in one worksheet after I have shut my computer down and restarted it. Once I access the file again, every time I try to delete a row or column from the worksheet, I get a "large operation" error message saying that "The operation you are about to perform affects a large number of cells and may take a significant amount of time to complete. Are you sure you want to continue?". It then takes around 3-5 minutes to delete one row. The worksheet is not THAT large (around 10,000 rows and 30 columns, but contains strictly data-no formulas). This has happened twice, once with the original file and once with an archived version of the file pulled by my IT Department. The other worksheets in the file seem to be fine. I am using a workaround by copying and pasting the data cells into another worksheet, but I still want to know where this mystery data is coming from. Any ideas; my IT guys are stumped? |
