If it's more complex than you want, why not just build your own.

Put headers in Row 1 (alt-enter will allow more than one line within the cell).
Put each game in separate rows.
Try to put one piece of information in one cell.

Manufacturer Game_Name Date_Bought Amount$ Loaned_Date Loaned_To

And whatever else you want to keep track of.

Apply data|filter|autofilter to the range so that you can filter by any field.

And backup your workbook often.

I think you will find that most of the inventory-type templates use MS Access
as the application of choice.

You may be able to modify one of the Excel templates to your liking.

The "book collection" template may a place to start.
