Default Excel 2003 highlight feature

Just got Excel 2003 and I notice that when I click on a cell the row number
and column letter become shaded.

Is there any way to change the color of the shading?

I could change the color by changing a windows setting.

Under control panel|display applet|appearance tab

(But this affects all windows programs.)
