Default How To Freeze A Cell Once I finish With It?

I need a range to contain a function, freeze the range so it no longer
changes, and then have the equation go to the same columns on the next set of
rows.

i'm using excel 2000.

If you have a formula in that cell, then you can convert that formula to its
value (edit|copy, edit|paste special|values).

You may even want to lock the cell (format|cells|protection tab) and then
protect the worksheet.

Tools|protection|protect sheet

Be aware that there are lots of things that won't work on protected worksheets.

i have a sheet that once i fill it out, the information is copied onto the
appropriate columns on another sheet.

what i need is: once i'm done with the first sheet and it copies the
information onto the other sheet, i can change the first sheet, have the
information in the second sheet stay the same, and once i fill out the 1st
sheet again, it copies onto the next row of the second sheet.

Post a before and after sample of what you need.

Generally to freeze a function you copy and paste values onto the same cell.
