I don't have Excel 2010, but what happens when you type "insert comment"
into Excel help?

don't know what the op gets in help, but i don't get anything remotely helpful. hate the
help system in both 2007 and 2010.

but to answer the question, the same way as in other versions. right click and select
insert comment.
