Current Region..Cntrl Asterick
When I click in a block of data and hit control asterick, instead of Excel
highlighting that specific block of cells, I get the following message "cannot create outline". What is causing this problem? |

You must be using XL2007. The short cut to select the current region around
the active cell has changed from Ctrl+ * in 2003 to Shift+Ctrl+* If this post helps click Yes --------------- Jacob Skaria "ManhattanRebel" wrote: When I click in a block of data and hit control asterick, instead of Excel highlighting that specific block of cells, I get the following message "cannot create outline". I have to disagree with Jacob. I can select the current region in Excel 2003
and in Excel 2007 with any of these a) CTRL+* using the number pad's * b) CTRL+SHIFT+* using the top row * (on the 8 key, so Shift is needed) c) CTRL + A best wishes -- Bernard Liengme http://people.stfx.ca/bliengme Microsoft Excel MVP "ManhattanRebel" wrote in message ...
