Default How do I see my own message posts ?

Hi

On many forums (inc some Microsoft), once you have signed in with MS Live ID
you can see your own posts very easily...can't see a way to do that on MS
Office Online Forums. ?!

Any way to do this (to save searching...I seem to keep 'losing'
posts....unless MS are removing them ?)

Thanks

Generally not wise to use the MS Discussion Group web interface. Better to
use an alternative method of accessing the newsgroups (then you might stand
a better chance of seeing replies from the wider world, which the MSDG
interface has been ignoring in recent weeks).

The persistent problem was fixed as of some time on Nov 10. When they fixed
the problem, they also made an effort to catch up on missed external
postings.

With the MS Discussion Groups web interface, start by doing one of the
following:

1. Click on a message that you submitted, then click on your name next to
"By" in the upper left corner.

2. Click on the "Edit your profile" icon next to Help on the upper right,
then click on Preview at the bottom.

Both procedures open a User Profile window. There, click on "Recent posts"
in the upper right.

I cannot vouch for the completeness of the results; at the very least, the
order seems odd. In general, the MSDG web interface is not the best way to
read and post to the microsoft.public newsgroups.

Hi David

Which "alternatives" would you recommend?

I prefer Outlook Express. Others prefer other newsreaders. In either case,
you can use the server msnews.microsoft.com.

For an archive search, I would recommend Google, and that also gives the
ability to post.
Newsgroup hints:
