With a bit of further thought, I wouldn't allow the users to mess up.
I'd just use a single cell and then the second cell (if I absolutely needed to have two for some reason) would be: =if('sheet 777'!a1="","",'sheet 777'!a1) Try not to give me (the user) a chance to screw up--and I'll screw up less.
