Default SUBTOTAL and 9

Hi,

In a table with subtotals we can see a formula like =SUBTOTAL(9,B4:B10)
irrespective of the number of rows. What is the importance of this "9"? Can
anybody explain?

Thanks & Regards,

Jaleel

9 is the Function_num used to include hidden values...while doing SUM()

Syntax:
SUBTOTAL(function_num, ref1, ref2, ...)

Refer help on SUBTOTAL()
