Merged Cells are more than 1 column/row wide or tall. Someone applied a
merge cell format-usaully for a header row-but you do lose the sort. To unmerge, click top left corner of spreadsheet (between Column A and Row 1) This will select whole sheet. Then click FormatCellsalignment tab and select 'merge cells" OK. This will unmerge all cells and give you back your sort tool. Pat "ELIZABETH" wrote: HOW CAN I TELL WHICH ARE THE MERGED CELLS?
