Playing an audio file in Excel
Hi. I have Excel 2007 and use Vista. I have a spreadsheet where I would
like it to play a certain .wav file every time it is opened. I want whoever I email the spreadsheet to, to also hear the sound file. I do not want it to open iTunes or Media Player when it plays. I've seen a couple of suggestions but have yet to get anything to work. Can someoen help? -- Thank you, Dave |

What suggestions have you tried. Maybe you just need help getting one of
these suggestions to work. You will need to put the .wav file into the workbook. You will also need a macro. I think the right way is for the macro to call the window media player DLL which has an option to play a file without displaying the media player when running the file. I would like to see the other option you were given which may be simpler before I attempt to write a macro. "Fuji0664" wrote: Hi. I have Excel 2007 and use Vista. Playing an audio file in Excel
Hi Joel. Thanks for getting back to me. I've tried imbedding the .wav file
as an object and using a macro to kick it off when the file opens but that seems to open media player and I'd rather not do that. I had a couple other little macros that I found when I googled the topic but none of them were any help. I don't have the details...sorry. -- Thank you, Dave "Joel" wrote: What suggestions have you tried. Maybe you just need help getting one of these suggestions to work.
