Default Pivot Table Expand Collapse not showing for Cube

When point a blank Excel file at a cube, the expand/collapse buttons don't
show after adding rows and columns to the pivot. However looking at this
cube in SQL via Browse, the same rows and columns, the rows fields have the
expand/collapse buttons.

Default Pivot Table Expand Collapse not showing for Cube

That was Excel 2007 by the way. We have many cubes, and all cubes when
brought into Excel 2007 the rows have the Expand/Collapse buttons, except a
couple cubes. Is there a BI attribute that needs to be turned on when
building a cube that would affect the Excel Expand/Collapse buttons from
showing?

Is there an attribute for all dimension fields in a cube that needs to be
turned on for the expand/collapse to show in a pivot in Excel? We have many
cubes built by different people. All cubes (except 2) show the
expand/collapse buttons in Excel2007 for any dimension field, even fields
that have no logical hierachy when added to the pivot row produce the
expand/collapse buttons. There must be a cube dimension attribute that is
not turned on for these 2 cubes that cause it to not produce expand/collapse
buttons in Excel. Or, can someone look up in Excel what turns on those
buttons from an OLAP data source?
