Here is the question that was posed to me. I have searched online and could
not find exact directions on this. I have an Excel Spreadsheet with columns A through V. The Quality Department needs to edit all columns A through V or all columns except for column Q. The shipping department needs to be able to edit on the Q column, locked out of the rest. Is there a way to have a GROUP or USER be locked out of specific cells? If you need any additional info, let me know. |

Under Tools - Protection, you can setup your workbook/worksheet so that
specific groups of user can edit different ranges when the workbook is protected. So, it really works by locking everyone out of everything (excluding unprotected cells of course), except for the specific exceptions you call out for specific ranges. -- Best Regards, Luke M *Remember to click "yes" if this post helped you!* "gafferoo" wrote: Here is the question that was posed to me.
