Default 100% wide header graphic???

Hello all

i am trying to make some of our excel documents look like our corporate
documents. these have a 100% wide graphic as a header.

http://www.delmargroup.co.uk/files/b..._Statement.pdf
example on page 2

the problem is in excel trying to get a an image to display the full width
of the page (most of our excel docs are just PDFs).

if i try to insert the graphic as a header it never ends up 100% width of
the page and the middle of the graphic is missing for some reason?!?!

anyone got any ideas of how to set up excel to be an A4 document (or letter
doc and i can work from that)???

its really annoying and i can now see why almost all excel spreadsheets look
like a child has done them! :(

i know i can set column widths in pixels and work out the cm/inch values but
the spreadsheet spans about 12 colums so its a nightmare to work it out.
