Default Deleted file tries to open when I start Excel

When I open a blank Excel workbook, it attempts to open a file that is no
longer on my computer. I had the problem when I had XP, but somehow got rid
of it. However, I moved to Vista last week and the problem has reappeared. I
went into Excel Options to see if the "at startup, open all files in" box was
filled but it wasn't. Does anyone know where this folder might be lsited to
open at startup?

Check your command line in your shortcut to open Excel. Might have a
hard-coded reference to the deleted workbook.

Or an add-in that is checkmarked but you have deleted the add-in.

If you posted the name and extension of the file we could make better
guesses.

That solved it. It was a deleted add-in (file extension .xla). I went to the
Excel Options/Add-ins, and deleted it from the active add-ins. Thanks!
