Default switch between sheets

I used to be able to switch between open notebooks by using Alt-Tab, but I
can't any more; also task bar only shows Excel, not the different open
notebooks. I can still navigate between open Word documents or open Outlook
windows, but Excel only gives me one choice. How can I return Excel to take
advantage of the Alt-Tab feature?
