Default Mapping data on a world map

I'm trying to map data on a world map where the size of the country/continent
is larger or smaller (visually) depending on the data. For instance, if
sales of pencils is high in the US, the US would appear larger on the world
map. I've downloaded MapPoint, but can't seem to find this functionality.
Thanks, in advance, for your help!
