Display message while calculating forumlas
I have a worksheet (Excel 2007) that has to recalculate a lot of cells when a
user changes the value in one of the input cells, and it takes a decent amount of time for the calculations to complete. In the status bar it displays "Calculating... (x%)", but I would like to have this be more prominent so the user knows to wait for the formulas to finish their calculations. Is there a way to display a message in the middle of the screen that says "Calculating..." while the formulas recalculate? Thanks, Brad |

I don't think you can change this behavior.

I was afraid of that.
Is there some way to run a macro when the cell changes so it displays a message box that says "Calculating..." until the formulas are done calculating at which point the message box could go away? Thanks again, "Dave Peterson" wrote: I don't think you can change this behavior. bwilk77 wrote: I have a worksheet (Excel 2007) that has to recalculate a lot of cells when a user changes the value in one of the input cells, and it takes a decent amount of time for the calculations to complete. Excel has a few events that you could tie into. But those will fire when excel
starts the recalculating. There's nothing that I know of that will monitor when the calculation stops. bwilk77 wrote: I was afraid of that.
