Default Multiple Excel 2007 instances on Vista

We use multiple instances of Excel, Word, and Adobe for opening their
respective documents. This was done by adding the /n "%1" and unchecking DDE
in XP. Where can I make the same changes in Vista? I read a post somewhere
else about changing the registry keys and tried it, but it didn't work.
