hi (...), ?????

how about embedding a WordArt object and use the '_change' event on that worksheet code module ? (i.e.)

Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range)
If Target.Address = "$A$1" Then
Me.Shapes("wordart 1").TextEffect.Text = [a1].Text
End If
End Sub

hth,
hector.
