Default SUMIF.

On column A I have dates, and on column B I have money ammounts.

From C1 through C12 I have the months of the year, January, February, March,
etc.

On D1 I want to add all the amounts from column B that represent the month
of January. On D2 I want to add all the amounts from column B that represent
the month of February, etc.

Is this posible with a SUMIF??

Default SUMIF.

Use SUMPRODUCT()

Col C months should be in excel date/time format formatted to display the
month. (Enter dateRight clickFormatCellsCustomType: mmmm)

In D1 (and copy down as required)
=SUMPRODUCT(--(TEXT(A1:A1000,"mmyyyy")=TEXT(C1,"mmyyyy")),B1:B10 00)

If this post helps click Yes
