You're testing for a text string, not a date

You may find it easier to put all your 'stat days' into a range, the set up
the conditional formatting to be along these lines

Formula is =MATCH(A1,date_range,0)0

format, it works. As soon as use a date format in column A1:A365 the
conditional format does not work.
