Cell color index formula reference instead of =counta
I'm not sure if this can be done without using vb but heres the question. I
have a spreadsheet with two tabs. The first tab is a breakdown of completed work at various stages with color coding that corresponds to the stages. The second tab is just a list of the sections along with the number of times tasks have been completed on the sections. I currently use the =counta function to give me totals to the number of times completed but this causes an issue because sometimes the section isn't completed but it doesn't distinguish starting points/notes from completion dates. Is it possible to have this second tab have the same information/counts but give me a number based off the cell interior color vs. counting cells with txt in it which isn't always 100% accurate. I apologize if this doesn't make sense but I'm not the greatest at explaining things. |
