Default SUMIF?

Not sure what function to use to do a sum of Y's or N's.

Example: (Starting in cell C5 and going down to C8)

Y
N
N
Y

In cell C9, what function do I use to sum the Y's that are found in C5:C8?
So that the answer is 2.

Thanks for the help
