Default Potential Version Issue with Hlookup

I am trying to run an Hlookup on a table that includes a TREND variable. The
lookup works fine with numerical data and then returns an N/A for the cells
with the TREND function. This only seems to happen in Excel 2007 and not in
older versions. Has anybody found a workaround for this?
