Default Sorting Tied Teams in League Table by Matches Between Themselves

I have organised a softball league for a set of companies. The league is
such that there are 2 points for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss.

There are 24 companies split into 4 groups of 6. Each company plays the
other teams in their group once with the top two of each progressing to the
1/4 finals.

The group placings are decided on points accumalated. Subsequent deciders
are then the results between the teams tied on the same points, the number of
wins, then games played (not all teams will arrange all their fixtures), and
finally nett runs scored (runs for minus runs against).

Two problems have arisen from creating this in Excel:

1. Excel appears to only enable me to sort by than 3 items. Is there a way
to increase this?

2. Sorting by more points, number of wins, games played, and nett runs is
easy. Sorting between two teams by result is achievable. However I'm
struggling when more than two teams are tied on points, or there are two sets
of two teams tied on different points totals within the same group.

Any ideas?

Thanking you in advance,

Neil

Use all 3 criterias, then keep the result by creating a indicator in a new
colomn. (number from 1 to x). Then sort that colomn (representing the result
of a 3 colomn sort) with 2 more.
