a simple 'sum' formula is not adding all of the data in range

a simple sum formula does not appear to be recognizing all of the numbers in
the range as numbers, and, therefore is not adding them to the total. I have
tried formatting the column to 'number' but that doesn't help.

Hi,

If you see green triangles at the top left of some of the cells, select all
the cell, put you mouse over one of the cells with a green triangle, to the
left you will see a small yellow diamond icon, click it and choose Convert to
Number.

Once numbers have been entered as text formatting them will not change their
data type.

If this helps, please click the Yes button.
