I am trying to reference a cell in a different workbook, and canoot remember
the format to reference a cell in a separate file. Can anyone help? I have multiple worksheets in each file and spaces in the worksheet names and file names. Thanks |

Open both workbooks.
In a cell in destination workbook type an "=" sign Switch to cell in source workbook and hit ENTER key. Excel will show you the proper syntax including the addition of single quotes when spaces in names are encountered. Perfect! Thanks for the answer. It's even easier than I remembered.
