Default default page breaks in Excel 2007

I'm working with a spreadsheet where I have to insert manual page
breaks every few rows. The problem is that the default page breaks
(dashed) will not go away. I've tried to drag them up or down in Page
Break Preview, and they still show up. In Excel 2000, they would
still show up but then the sheet would print okay. Now that I have
Excel 2007, the pages are being split where the default page breaks
appear. Is there any way to remove these page breaks?
