Default re-numbering or sequence priorities formula

Is there a formula for a column that will re-sequence your numbers, no matter
what you number you change in the row to that column. I used to do this in
lotus. If I changed priority 7 to 8 all the other numbers would either plus
up one or minus one to keep the priority sequence within the 1 to 100 range
with no duplication or missing numbers.

So, I've never used Lotus, but if you're just lookign to have a row or column
of numbers that will change when you update your control #, you can merely
have your control in, say, A1. In A2 (or B1), type =A1+1 then copy the
formula down (or across)....

Default re-numbering or sequence priorities formula

Sean,

Thanks for the information, I probably didn't explain my question well.
Example: A1=2, A2=3, A3=4, A4=5 and so on, then I come back and what A1=32,
A2=10, A3=66, and A4=1, entering each change one at a time and the column
updates the rows. I'm trying to have the column re-sequence the numbers
based on 1-100 priority, so unfortunately it will not always be a plus one.
Something like, if I change A1 to equal 32, then it finds the other 32 and
plus one and also resequences the lower numbers.
