I have two spreadsheets created on different PC's (possibly with different
versions of Excel). When I copy data with background coloring from one sheet to the other, the background fill colors change. I also notice that the color pallet on the tool bar is different on each of the two spreadsheets. How do I get the colors to copy without changing or how do I change the color pallet so it matches the origin spreadsheet?-- EarlyBirdie |

To reset the color palette: Tools - Options - Color tab - Reset button
In my experience, resetting the palette will correct the formatting of existing cells. Hi,
To copy a color pallette from one workbook to another open both workbooks and move to the one into which you want to copy the color pallette. Choose Tools, Options, Color, open the drop down list under Copy colors from and choose the other file. -- If this helps, please click the Yes button.
