Default Cannot add rows in Excell 2002

I can see IV 65536 is the end cell when I press CNTRL END I have tried
removing lines and columns then saving and recalling the file. The problem is
when I try deleting the lines a little black arrow appears and the system
seems to hang or do something hours later nothing has changed Any ideas?

Try copying your data into a new sheet, then delete that offending
sheet and then save the file.

Hope this helps.
