Default Excel Footers

How can I clean up the dropdown list automatically created for creating
footers? When I use Page Setup and Header/Footer there is a dropdown list
that can be sued to enter custom footers (like Created by..., or
Confidential). The list is too long and I would prefer to have 2 or 3 valid
entries instead of the long list.

You cannot delete any of the built-in headers/footers in the headers/footers
dialogs.

Ones in the Custom dialogs can be deleted.
