Default Custom Footer in Excel

Excel appears to limit the footer section to 255 characters. The footnotes I
have for a multiple page spreadsheet take up more than 255 characters. Is
there a way to overide the restriction so I do not have to cut and paste
footnotes on each page manually?

You might end up printing these long footers in Word. Then put the paper back
in the printer and print your spreadsheet from Excel.
