Default Formula pop-up box

Using Excel 2002, when I start to enter a formula in a cell, for example,
=sum( I get this little box that pops up right in my way, showing me how I
might like to complete it the formula. Does anyone know how to turn this
thing off so it doesn't pop up all the time? Thanks very much.

Choose ToolsOptions
Select the General tab
Remove the check mark from 'Function tooltips'
Click OK

You're welcome! If you ever need to see a function's arguments, as you
create a formula:

Type the equal sign, function name, and opening parenthesis, e.g.:

=MATCH(

Then press Ctrl + Shift + a
