Default How to split screen & display 2 different workbooks?

In classic Excel:
open the two workbooks
use menu command Window | Arrange | Tiled
Now you can see sheets from both workbooks side by side

To see two sheets of the same workbook:
use menu command Window | New Window and open the second sheet
use menu command Window | Arrange | Tiled
Now you can see the 2 sheets side by side

The steps are similar in Excel 2007
best wishes
