Importing from Peoplesoft
Dear Colleagues,
I am importing a file from Peoplesoft into Excel 2003. There is a green triangle in each cell. I tried to change to format to General, so that I could use a formula to copy the last five digits to the next column. For some reason the text will not right align. When I tried to copy/paste the imported data via the Taskpane to another part of the spreadsheet, the green trianangles disappeared and the formula worked. But this is cumbersome. Does anyone have any ideas on changing the formatting without going through the copy/paste routine? In fact if I use Ctrl C and Ctrl V, then the green triangles appear. I only works by using the Taskpane which is inconvenient. Thanks. Louis Excel 2003 User |
